Addictive BBQ Duck, Korean Town Los Angeles

Los Angeles has amazing authentic Korean food. That's absolutely legit, since Los Angeles has the largest Korean community outside of Korea!

Korean food is absolutely diverse. But the one that has become synonyms with Korean food is the Korean barbecue. They are known for their assorted meat selections, deciduous marinate, and endless condiments. I can honesty say, at the end of the meal, my stomach has never been disappointed at a Korean barbecue!

There are countless Korean barbecue places in Los Angeles, and everyone has a favorite. But there is one which I am truly addicted to. It's so good and so bad for you that one can even called it evil. At this Korean barbecue restaurant, the specialty is DUCK.

The restaurant only serves duck. These are duck slices, which is my favorite. There are also duck strips and spicy marinated duck.
The pan is titled to one side. This allows the duck to be cooked in its own fat! You can eat the duck well done. OR with patience, fry the duck for a few minutes longer, until it's crispy like bacon! YUM!
At the end of the meal, rice is cooked in the same pan, along with the accumulated duck fat, leftover duck meat, and condiments.
The result is simply impossible to resist!
If you are ever in Los Angeles and craving a different kind of barbecue, give Sun Ha Jan a try. You might be surprised, that you enjoy duck and that it actually doesn't taste as greasy and heavy as it looks!
